Josh Francis co-leads Menzies projects in Timor-Leste, which are focused on strengthening health systems to respond to infectious diseases challenges, including neglected tropical diseases. Specific to NTDs, Menzies works in collaboration with the Timor-Leste Ministry of Health and UNSW on research related to scabies, soil transmitted helminths and dengue.
