Dr Elke Mitchell

Research Fellow

Elke Mitchell is an early career researcher with 13 years’ experience leading and collaborating on qualitative research focused on sexual and reproductive health and other public health issues in Australia and the Pacific region. She is currently employed as a Research Fellow within the Public Health Intervention Research Program in the Kirby Institute, located in UNSW Medicine. In 2019 she was the lead qualitative researcher on a study examining community perspectives on mass drug administration (MDA) as part of a larger community intervention trial designed to assess the impact of ivermectin MDA on the control of scabies in Fiji.
